 What is Qube+
 

Qube Plus is a new product of Qube Money. It lets you use your own existing bank accounts and credit cards while still enjoying control of your money. With Qube+, you can:
 
  • ​​​​​​​Connect your existing bank accounts and credit cards (e.g., Chase, Wells Fargo, AMEX).
  • Track and organize spending across all accounts in one place.
  • Tap a qube before you spend — intentional spending remains at the core.
  • Use your favorite credit cards: earn rewards while staying mindful.
  • See all your balances at a glance for a complete financial overview.

 Will I need to download a new app for Qube+?

No. Qube+ will be available through your Qube app.

 When will Qube+ be available?

Qube+ entered alpha testing in mid-September 2025 as planned. Beta testing began in November with an exclusive group of early users.

To kick off the new year strong, we’ll open Qube+ Beta to the next 1,000 existing users on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

You’ll receive an email on December 29 with your access link and the exact time spots will open. We’ll also share the announcement in The Qubicle.
If you don’t make it into this group, you’ll have an opportunity to join a future group as access continues to roll out. Over time, everyone will be able to join.

 How will the Beta be released?

Beta access will be released in tranches, based on random selection, until everyone on the waitlist has access.

 Will Qube+ feel familiar?

Yes. The Qube+ experience is being designed to look and feel like the Qube Money app you already know — with qubes, allocations, and tapping before spending. The difference is that Qube+ connects to your own bank accounts and cards instead of a Qube-issued debit card.

 Will intentional spending still work the same way in Qube+?

Yes. The core Qube feature you know and love is still here — before you make a purchase, you’ll tap to open a qube. This intentional step is what makes Qube so powerful, and it remains central to the experience in Qube+.

 What is different with Qube+ compared to Qube Checking (i.e. Qube's Debit card)?

  • What’s new: You get more flexibility by using your own bank accounts and cards inside the Qube app.
  • What’s the same: You’ll still allocate money into qubes, manage your spending, and track your finances in the same familiar way.
  • What’s different: The banking services that enable the use of Qube’s firewall debit card and virtual accounts to pay bills are not available in Qube+. These features will return once we finish integration with a new banking partner. 

 Will Qube+ include joint and family accounts? 

Yes. Couples and families can continue to be able to use Qube together just like before.

 Will Qube+ have access to move my funds?

No. Qube+ will have read-only access to view your balances and transactions. The interface will allow you to organize the view of your money, so you can allocate money to your qubes and enjoy Qube’s intentional spending methodology.  

 Will transactions in Qube+ show in real time? 

It depends on your bank. Your Qube app will display transactions as soon as your bank reports them. Many banks update quickly, but some report their transactions once a day.

 What bank do you recommend we use to create the best experience with Qube+?

Any bank that sends post pending transactions through Plaid.

 Is Qube+ a temporary product? 

No. Qube+ will be a permanent part of Qube Money that expands what the app can do. In the future you will be able to use Qube+ with Qube Checking in one simple interface to manage your money across your other financial institutions. It’s designed to give you more flexibility by letting you use your own bank accounts and credit cards. Even after we relaunch with a new banking partner, Qube+ will remain available alongside the Qube Checking.

 Do I still need to pay my membership fee?

Membership fees are paused until Qube+ is live.

 What if I have a lifetime membership already?

If you already have a lifetime membership from a previous offer, it will be fully honored with Qube+. Your lifetime access carries forward.

 I'm on the Light plan. Can I lock in pricing?

Yes. Light (free) plan users can also secure today’s Premium or Family pricing for life — covering both Qube+ now and Qube Checking when it returns. No payment is required now; simply join the Qube+ Beta waitlist to lock in your rate.

 What about new users? Can they lock in pricing?

Yes. New users can secure lifetime pricing for Qube+ by joining the Beta waitlist. The lifetime price lock does not extend to Qube Checking for new accounts.

Will my Qube setting be saved in Qube+?

Yes — your Qube settings will be saved for Qube+. The first step is to join the Beta waitlist so we can identify you as one of the thousands of members who want in on Qube+.

Our dev team is also building a “Migrate” button that will allow you to transfer your settings seamlessly when Qube+ beta goes live. Join the Beta waitlist here.

Do all family members need to join the Qube+ Beta waitlist?

No. For Premium or Family plans, only the primary account holder needs to join the Qube+ Beta waitlist to secure the lifetime price lock. Other family members do not need to sign up unless they want early Beta access. When Qube+ moves beyond Beta and is publicly available, all family members will be able to use it.
