🔄 Sync

Pulls the latest transaction from your bank and refreshes your balance. This is the safest option and should be your first step anytime something looks off. Transaction updates follow normal banking timelines and will take longer during holidays and weekends.

🔧Repair

Runs a deeper repair by rebuilding your recent transaction history (about the last 90 days) and updating your account balance. This can resolve issues the basic sync can’t. Use when balances or transactions still look incorrect after syncing. We maintain the initial sync balance and date and rebuild the transaction history for the last 90 days.

🗑️ Replace

Completely resets your bank connection in Qube+ as if you linked it for the first time. All past history beyond 90 days is erased and cannot be recovered. All of your qube balances except for unallocated will be set to zero, so only use this if you’re looking for a clean start.

Quick tip:

Most issues can be solved with the “Sync” button. If balances don’t match after syncing, try the “Repair” button. If that does not work, try the “Replace” button.

Pre-Qubing lets you update a qube’s balance immediately at the moment you spend, without waiting for your bank transaction to sync.

When you enter a purchase amount, Qube+ moves that money out of the selected qube right away and can be found in the Pre-Qube section of the app. When the bank transaction posts, Qube+ automatically matches it and clears the Pre-Qube.

Pre-Qubing supports proactive spending by allowing you to record purchases in the app at the time of spend, independently of bank transaction timing.

1- Tap the qube’s balance related to the purchase you just made.

2- Enter the purchase amount and tap Pre-Qube.

That’s it. You’re done.

3. Review your Pre-Qube.

You’ll see the amount you entered held in the Pre-Qube section at the top of the screen.

Once the bank transaction posts and is matched, the Pre-Qube is automatically cleared. If you made a mistake, tap the Pre-Qube section to edit or delete it.

Pre-Qubes are temporary.

If a matching bank transaction does not arrive, a Pre-Qube will automatically expire after a few days to help avoid clutter or confusion. Once the bank transaction posts and matches, the Pre-Qube is automatically removed.

Yes. You can:

Pre-Qubes are designed to be flexible, so you can correct or remove them as needed.

Pre-Qubing is being rolled out in phases as part of the Qube+ Beta.

It will first be available to our Closed Beta community, followed by the Open Beta community. This phased rollout allows us to test, refine, and resolve issues in a smaller group before expanding access more broadly, so we don’t introduce bugs at scale.

A purchase lands in Qubeless when it isn’t Pre-Qubed or confidently assigned.

This can happen when:

Because these transactions don’t have an in-app action tied to them, Qube+ avoids guessing and places them in Qubeless so you can review and assign them yourself, helping keep balances accurate.

We’re currently using Plaid for initial beta stability but Plaid doesn’t always provide debit card timestamps.

We are actively working on:
What you’re seeing in beta is not the final experience.
Right now, Qube+ supports one checking account per user profile. If you have a Family account, each person can link their own bank account. Credit cards will be supported soon and can be added separately.

This usually happens when the bank lists one spouse as the primary owner. Try:

If the issue persists, please report it in the Beta Bug Forum.
Imported historical transactions won’t affect your current Qube balances. You can safely categorize them for reporting/history. Your current balance remains accurate.
Most of the time, this happens because the wrong profile is selected. Go to:
If the balance still looks off, follow the three step process. Go to your “Linked Bank Accounts” page and click “Sync”. If balances don’t match after syncing, click “Repair”. If that does not work, click “Replace”.
This usually happens because of when the transaction actually settled at your bank: If the transaction happened before you linked your bank account, it goes into a special qube called Past Transactions.
Only transactions that settle after your initial sync will appear in Qubeless. This explains why many users get a notification but don’t see anything in Qubeless — the transaction likely settled before the link date.

In short:
If it happened before the link → Past Transactions
If it happened after the link → Qubeless
If you unqubed transactions in qubeless, you may experience this. Go to Qubeless → qube your Qubeless. Assign each transaction to the right qube. If any qube goes negative, “qube it” then move money (usually from Unallocated). Numbers should align.
Stand by. Credit card support is coming soon.
Not in Qube+. All Amazon purchases show up as regular transactions, you categorize them like any other expense.
Pre-authorization lets you enter an amount in advance (e.g. $19.26) so any matching transaction gets auto-qubed. Right now, this feature is unavailable.
No. Transactions can’t be deleted because they affect your financial ledger. Instead, categorize transactions into the correct qube so your budget stays accurate.
Yes. Qube+ uses bank-level encryption and secure, read-only connections to keep your information safe. Your credentials are never stored or shared.

Qube+ connects through Plaid, a trusted third-party provider used by major financial institutions. Plaid gives Qube+ a secure, read-only token, allowing it to view balances and transactions, but never move your money.
